The persons of Aries zodiac signs are courageous,
confident, and of friendly nature. The master of this sign
is the Mars, therefore, persons of this zodiac sign should wear
the
following gems and sub-gems :
Gem: Coral, or Sub-gem
: ( 1) Red onyx or
Red agate.
Coral
Coral is a representative gem of the Mars. It is known
by several names, e.g. Moonga, bhaum, praval, mirjan,
pala, etc. It is commonly red. It is also found in vermillion,
saffron, white, and black colours. It is an organic gem.
Birth of coral
Coral is found in occans at a depth of six to seven
hundred feet deep rocks, where a sea-creature, isis
nobiles makes house for itself. The material of this house
is coral. The houses of this sea creature is called coral
vine or coral plant. This branched but devoid of leaves
plant is generally of the- height of one to two feet with
about one inch width. Sometimes even longer plants too
are found. It is extracted from oceans after it fully
develops and is cut with machines into various shapes.
There is wide spread myth about coral that it is a
tree. It is neither a tree nor a vegetation, but it is called
a plant because of its form. It is an organic gem.
The deeper coral is situated in the sea, the lighter it
is in colour. Coral found in comparatively less depth is
dark in colour. Its chemical composition is that of
calcium carbonate. It is found in the coastal countries of
the Pacific Ocean, Algeria, Coral sea of Sigali, the Persian
Gulf, the Indian Ocean, Italy, and Japan. Coral found
from Italy is called Italian coral. It is of sharp red colour.
The best quality coral is that of Japan.
Attributes and Advantages of wearing
Its chief characteristic is its fascinating colour and
shape. Though it is not much precious, yet it has been
included in the list of nine-gems due to its beautiful and
attractive colour. Wearing it helps eradicate and pacify
all the faults accruing from the Mars. It also helps purify
blood. Wearing it is also beneficial in heart diseases. Its
wearer is not susceptible to evil glances (najar lagna) and
ghost-evil spirit. I t is because of it that coral particles are
tied to children's neck.

Those who cannot do so due to one or the other
reason, should wear coral as follows :

and copper. It should be worn on a Tuesday morning between
sunrise and 11a.m. after washing it in the Ganges water
and raw milk and is worn in the right hand ring finger
while chanting the following hymn :

Women should wear it in the left hand ring finger .

Note

Coral should be studded
in a ring such that its lower art (inner part) remains open
and keep touching
the inger.
Coral can also be worn in a locket or armlet.
-
Those, who cannot
afford to wear coral, should wear red onyx or red agate.
These too are worn by following the same method
