Colour of Gems and Their Effect
Colour play an important role in our life. The whole
universe is spersed with colours, one or the other
Perhaps, it is difficult to imagine this world without
colour. When Sir Isaac Newton was 23 years old, he let
pass seemingly white sun rays through a glass prism to
find seven colours emanating from the other side. Soap
bubble and rainbow too show seven colours, called
VIGBYOR - violet, indigo, green, blue, yellow, orange,
and red.
These are main colours, rest others are blended
ones, e.g. black, grey, maroon, brown, purple, lavander,
etc. The originating place for all these colours is the sun.
Sun rays are the source of life on the earth. Our body too
is a blend of seven colours. Human physique is spersed
with nerves and cells which are formed of different
colours. We are born, live and grow with these colours.
Colours are helpful in keeping us healthy and balanced.
If ratio of this colour scheme is disbalanced, it gives rise
to various ailments. There are many methods to balance
this colour scheme, but since ancient times, gems have
been considered to be a simple and easy method. We
describe them as follows :
Red (Operator-Sun)
It signifies fire, might, and patience. This colour
shows violence arid dispute. Used in traffic system, this colour
indicates for traffic to stop. It is also used in fire
brigade, mail van, ambulance, engine, etc. Red cross too
is red and books of accounts of Indian merchants too are
red in colour. This colour is indicative of averting danger.
Red colour is the source of Power. It tells about
danger, therefore, it is an important colour the world
over and is used for various purposes, such as protection
from accidents, altercation, fire tenders, maintenance of
law and order and from evil glances.
Red colour is operated by the
Sun. The Sun is the
king. The persons with a strong sun become high ranking
officials and they are by nature active, courageous, and
optimists.
The deficiency of red colour in the body causes
several ailments, such as mental retardation, weak eye
sight, anaemia, headache, etc. In winter, red colour is
used in woolen clothing. Patients in hospitals too are
issued red blankets to cure them soon.
The excess of red colour
too is harmful, for it causes
eye diseases, inflammation, boils, etc. In such a case,
cool gems, such as moon stone, blue sapphire, yellow
sapphire, etc., are used.
