The master of Taurus zodiac sign is the Venus, therefore, the persons of this zodiac sign are skilled in worldly affairs, thoughtful, lovers of beauty and music; and are interested in luxuries. The persons of Taurus zodiac signs should wear the following gems or sub- gems:

Gems: Diamond, or yellow sapphire as a substitute.
Sub-gems : Opal, Crystal, White agate.

Diamond
Diamond is a representative gem of the Venus. It is known by various names such as heera, heerak, vajrak, manivar, etc. It is called the king of gems, because it is the most precious and rare gem. It is the hardest gem and due to its hardness it is used in glass cutting.

Birth of Diamond
Diamond is often found in coal mines. As per its physical composition it is a crystal coke and is blended with no other substance. On burning, it fully evaporates after turning into carbon di-oxide gas. Besides, it is also found in river basins and other places.

In India, diamond is found in Panna (Madhya Pradesh), Tamil Nadu, Orissa, and Gujarat. Abroad, it is found in Brazil, South Africa, Belgium, and Rhodesia. Attributes and Advantages of Its Wearing The chief characteristic of diamond is its hardness. Wearing diamond helps pacify the Venus-related faults. It helps enhance prosperity and physical health. It is also used as bum ash in medicines for weakness of semen.

Identification
Diamond can be identified as follows :
  • It is not prone to scratches with any thing. Its radiance is permanent and feels cool on touching it.

  • If put in sun, it gives out rainbow rays around it.

  • Though it is the hardest gem, it breaks if dropped from hand.

  • It does not conduct electricity and therefore a person wearing a diamond is not prone, to electric shocks.

  • Its colour fades a little on heating but it regains its colour when cooled.

Wearing Diamond
Diamond studded in gold or silver should be worn on a Friday in the ring finger. It should be washed in the Ganges water and raw milk before wearing. One should chant the following hymn while wearing :

Note
  • It should be studded in ring such that its lower (inner) part remains open so that concerned invisible colour rays may enter the body.
  • Those, who cannot afford diamond, should opt for white sapphire, or in the alternative can wear opal, crystal, or white agate. These sub-gems are also worn by the same method like diamond. They pacify the Venus-related faults.
