Effect of Sub-Gems

Garnet
In Hindi, garnet is called by the name of yokoot or raktamani. It is a hard sub-gem of red colour and its master is the Sun.

Garnet is used as jewel in watches, however, in costly watches, ruby and blue sapphire are used as jewel.

Wearing garnet begets luck, health, respect, honour , and success in travel. I t also eradicates mental disorders. In ancient times it was believed that the use of garnet saves from all kinds of poisons, mental tensions, fearful dreams, etc. Red garnet is beneficial in fever and yellow garnet protects from jaundice.

It remains a proven fact since ancient times that the persons who wear this stone are not harmed by storms and lightning, and are not harmed in travel. The special characteristic of this gem is that it bears all kinds of difficulties and in the process changes its colour too. It may also break into pieces on facing a specific grave danger.


Sun Stone (Pitonia)
The sun stone of green colour with small red stains is a non-transparent sub-gem. Its red stains are formed due to mixture of iron oxide.

If it is drenched in water and placed on a wound, it stops bleeding and cures it soon. Modern scientists have proved that it happens due to the presence of iron oxide

If it is studded in a sliver chain and worn on the neck, it uproots nose- bleeding and this problem does not arise again.


Turquoise
It is a sub-gem of the Venus. Sometimes, it is termed as sub-gem of the Saturn erroneously. It is a non- transparent sub-gem.

It is a smooth and soft stone and is the national gem of Iran. It is usually used for protection and pacifies hatred.


Attributes
This gem symbolises health. It turns into yellow on befalling of diseases and its colour completely faints on the death of the wearer. But, as soon as a healthy person
wears it, its original colour regains.

This gem takes upon itself the impending troubles and thus the wearer is saved. However, this gem is effective when it is presented by some one. A bought gem is not so effective.

If there arises any conspiracy against the wearer, it would change its colour to warm the wearer .


Agate
Agate is found in several colours. Sometimes there are found natural figures, such as, bird, cloud, grass, plants, etc., are found on it. In ancient times, Ayurvedic physicians prepared eye medications on this stone.

If agate is tied at a place tightly stung by scorpion, poison does not spread and pain decreases.

If agate is tied with lioness's hair and worn on neck, the person gets honour from government and respect too increases. In particular, lovers cooperate and friends do not deceive.

In modern world agate has not much significance as a gem, however, it is still used as amulet (talisman) or armour.
