Cornelian
It belongs to calsidone group of gems and is found in red, yellow, and white colours. Prophet Mohammad used this gem and he prophesied that its wearer succeed in all fields of life.

In ancient times it was believed that its wearer was immune from magic-spells and evil glances. Its wearer is not susceptible to ailments and it has special significance in plague.

Marbodes
Wearing it on the neck or finger protects from anger and hatred. According to Chemilus, this sub-gem protects from lightning and storm, while Marsles Ampiricus advised to use it as an armour.

Spaniards used this gem for courage and raising of voice, while Chinese believed that it saves from abdomen diseases.

Ancient Greek women wore it in their jewellery and they believed that this gem protected them from gout, wind disorders, and nerve pains, etc.

It is believed that wearing it helps against road accidents. It also begets happiness and success in marital life.

Jade
Jade is a kind of hard gem which is both transparent and non-transparent. Chinese believed that this gem quenched thirst and enhanced speech capacity.

Medieval Americans wore it to get immunity from abdomen and kidney diseases, urinary stone, etc Egyptians used this gem as an amulet. Its importance lies in to get success in races.

Opal
It is a precious sub-gem. It is the most beautiful and mysterious gem. It has all rainbow colours which shine on falling light on it. The chief characteristic of this gem is that it changes its colour according to the mentality of the wearer. If the wearer is happy, it would turn red and if he gets angry , it would turn green, etc.

This gem begets optimism. This gem begets what one desires when it is red. This gem too indicates whether it would prove to be auspicious or evil. While wearing if it retains its lustre, it would prove to be auspicious, and if it faints its colour, it would prove to be otherwise.

Lapis Lazuli
It is a sub-gem of dark blue colour with golden stains which are due to its being a compound of golden bee. It begets courage, honour and success, and does away with griefs.

Malakite
It is a non-tranparent sub-gem with excess quantity of copper, and as such has the capacity to protect its wearer from cholera, gout, stomachache, etc.

Amethyst
It is a violet colour sub-gem. The darker, the better. It is the only gem which is not inauspicious. It prevents its wearer from anger, hatred, and evil acts. It begets mental peace and contentment. Wearing it on neck helps keep away ailments related with unconsciousness and insomnia.
