of the peacock feather blue colour. Indraneel is also
called Bankok blue sapphire. Siloni blue sapphire is of
light blue or light sky blue colour.
Its Birth
Blue sapphire is a compound of aluminium and
oxygen. Its blue colour is due to a little quantity of cobalt.
Blue sapphire is found in various kinds of rocks. In Sri
Lanka it is found with garnet in nice rocks. In India, it is
found in Kashmir Valley .Abroad, it is found in Myanmar ,
Sri Lanka, Bankok, Thailand, Rhodesia, and Australia.
Attributes and Advantages of Wearing
It is said that a blue sapphire makes apparent its
auspicious (good) or inauspicious (evil) effect in a matter
of a few hours. If it is worn on a Saturday afternoon after
having bathed it in the Ganges water and raw milk with
chanting of proper hymns, it eradicates evil effects of the
Sadesati (the seven and a half year's Saturnian position
foreboding evil) of the Saturn.
If it is found effective, it enhances
prosperity ,
happiness, name, fame, honour, age, intelligence , power ,
and lineage. It enhances the lustre of the face and eye
